Artists and labels set their own prices for plays and downloads, and receive 80% of whatever their fans spend on them – because fans can always pay MORE than that if they choose. We use the remaining 20% to operate the service. Our goal is to make a penny per play (over 3x what Spotify pays) the floor rather than the ceiling for streaming royalties.
