Joe Sinha Semple is a pianist and composer based in the UK, writing both music for music's sake and for use on screen. Taking influence from late 19th/early 20th century post-romantic and impressionist composers, as well as contemporary, modern classical artists, Joe's music is both emotive and compositionally complex. Initially releasing under the name 'Joe Semple', Joe was composing long solo piano pieces, often modulating through different keys, and partly written as etudes, pieces meant to develop and practice his composition and playing. From 2023 Joe has shifted his writing for solo piano towards a more minimalist style, hoping to do more with less, giving a relaxed and reflective sound with an increased focus on achieving as pure a sound quality as possible. These newer compositions are under his full name 'Joe Sinha Semple'. He has also focused increasingly on writing pieces involving live strings. Joe is very pleased to be able to share his music with listeners all over the world. Pieces of his regularly feature on BBC radio, and he looks forward to developing his compositional style.
