Listen to The Revelator (Studio Live)

Ethan's work as both an artist and producer is deep, rooted and avant-garde all at the same time. He consistently blends Jazz, Flamenco, Americana, Blues and Carribbean music into a stew that is both edgy and organic. Heavily influenced by the 11 years he spent living and performing in Spain within the Roma/Gitano community, he has made it an artistic mission to defend the relevance of traditional roots genres through high profile modernizations. Quotes: "The capacity of this visionary for blending the cultures of Gypsy Flamenco and Roots Blues is possibly the most explosive hybrid I have seen in all my years as a producer." (Spanish Producer, Ricardo Pachón, for Flamenco/World/Fusion most notably for his work with Camaron de la Isla, Pata Negra, and Lole y Manuel) “I’ve definitely heard some blues and Margolis demonstrates an astounding ability to encounter a seamless blend between the blues and flamenco music....far from an easy task.” (Grammy winning producer, Larry Cohn, for Sony's Roots n Blues series)
