About Jazz
Born in early 20th Century New Orleans, Jazz is an African-American art form that blends Blues, Ragtime, and European musical traditions into a highly improvisational and rhythmically complex style. Characterized by its distinctive swing feel and the spontaneous interplay between musicians, Jazz can be performed on virtually any instrument, though horns are often central to its melodic and soloistic expression.
