Hailing from the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden, Mekci is an electronic music producer known for his captivating blend of trance, progressive house, and melodic techno. With a sound that resonates with fans of artists like Astrix, Charlotte de Witte and Michael A, Mekci creates emotionally rich, rhythmically compelling tracks that move both mind and body. His journey into music began as a teenager when he purchased his first synthesizer, a Casio CZ5000, using savings from a summer job. Although his early attempts at music production using an Amiga 500 as a sequencer didn’t pan out, his passion was undeterred. The release of Reason 1.0 marked a turning point, sparking a deep commitment to music production that has only grown stronger with time. Mekci’s music is driven by a love for innovation and a belief that there is always something new to explore within sound. Drawing inspiration from techno’s raw energy and trance’s emotive melodies, he crafts tracks that are both technically refined and sonically immersive. His creative process is informed by a constant desire to evolve, resulting in a dynamic and ever-developing discography.
