Biography
Ann-Marie Thompson 2nd of 4 children was born May 11 in Kingston, Jamaica. She was inspired by her grandmother who was a singer and since early childhood Ann-Marie dreamt of becoming a singer herself. The school years of her life were the toughest because she enjoyed concepts more than just memorizing readymade notes. Extracurricular activities like drawing, crafts, and music were her favorite things to do. She spent most of her time in the music department singing and writing and in 1993 entered the JCDC Song Festival with her school choir. After completing school she chose to become a secretary but continued with her music career. Her positive attitude and talent helped to open many doors. During this time she traveled to Canada and the US opening for artists such as Blue Magics, Luther Vandross, The Temptations, etc. She was privileged to share a stage with McFadden & Whitehead who well known for their hit song “Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now” She currently resides in the US where she was a background vocalist for 2nd Chance 2007 to 2011 While under his tutelage she released her debut album on March 31, 2012. This album which was produced by 2nd Chance and the RRYMXT Band is entitled “You Have Done Enough” Today she is looking forward to what’s in store with her new endeavour over the last 3 years she has been touring with the Wailers Keep your eye on this one!
