Biography
Simphiwe Motlaadiitsi Makwetla, also recognised as Strauss Mk, hailing from Soweto Diepkloof. Strauss is an upcoming Sgidongo artist bringing fresh, futuristic perspective to the Amapiano movement, carving out a unique lane within the Sgidongo scene. Drawing inspiration from his daily experiences in the township. Strauss’s music is a mixture of raw township energy, driving percussions, and deep, resonant baselines. As a rising voice in the South African music scene, his sound is a direct reflection of the vibrant streets of Soweto. As an upcoming voice in the scene, his mission is to keep the culture moving.
