Ffrench first achieved notoriety when he performed ‘In My Heart There Is A Song’ at the 1984 Jamaican Song Festival. In the same year he performed at the Reggae Sunsplash festival in Jarret Park, Montego Bay, where he wooed the crowds with his interpretation of the popular dance craze ‘Shoulder Move’.
