Apollo 808 is a visionary sound sculptor, deeply rooted in the pulsating rhythms of Brazilian Phonk. Starting his musical journey as a percussionist, he quickly expanded his horizons, evolving from the smooth rhythms of reggae to the complex and aggressive beats of urban music. In 2012, Apollo immersed himself in music production, founding his first record label and, as part of the iconic duo Alive Beats, producing for a wide array of Brazilian artists. His solo career solidified his presence as one of the defining artists of Brazilian Phonk, a genre he shapes and refines with every release. Apollo’s music is a daring fusion of Hip-Hop, Funk, and the raw, atmospheric energy of Phonk, combining nostalgic elements of early funk with modern electronic influences. Each track is a sonic storm, filled with haunting 808 basslines, neon-lit harmonies, and vocals that slide between liquid raps and hypnotic hooks.
