Biography
Born in Connecticut (USA) and raised in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Nyan, born Ian Martins, had a childhood full of pop and R&B playing in the background, but was at the drums of Rio's Carnival that he first showed his music skills. He started to learn all by himself and play the instruments while his father was the percussion director of many samba schools in the city. In 2012, he decided to show to people from his high school that he wanted to be an artist, and with his best friend he performed and won the Talent Show singing Jamie Foxx's "Fall For Your Type". Since that day, Nyan started to compose and study about music. After many researches, in 2017 he created a home studio in his bedroom and began to produce his own songs. Later on, he dropped his first music project: the singles "Jig" (with a video) and "Wasted", which sings about relationships, broken hearts and turnovers with a very particular sauce shaped in USA and Brazil.
