Biography
Weto is a German rock ensemble from Fürstenfeldbruck established in 1993. The group consists of the musicians Stefan Brunner, Martin Duckstein, Heiner Jaspers, Thomas Lindner, and Matthias Richter. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by German rock and Neue Deutsche Härte. The ensemble was founded after the dissolution of two school bands. Their recording career began with the live recording Tatort Bühne (1997). Weto achieved professional recognition for the extended play Scherben im Kopf (1999). The ensemble became inactive in 2000 and resumed activity in 2005. Their discography included the studio recording Das 2weite Ich (2006). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing at the Funkenflug-Festival and the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival. Their recording career included the studio recording Schattenspieler (2011) which reached number 84 in Germany. Weto achieved professional recognition for performing at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2012. They achieved professional recognition for performing at the Rock im Herbst festival in 2013. The group became inactive in 2013.
