Singer and rapper CeeLo Green was among the pioneers of Southern hip-hop in the 1990s as part of the group Goodie Mob before landing massive pop hits in the 2000s on his own and with Gnarls Barkley, Green’s collaboration with Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton. • Green got his start singing in church as a kid and was 16 when Goodie Mob formed in 1991.
