"Every word is mantra, every rap is ritual." I go by LaBrea and I am an MC from Jersey City, New Jersey. I often touch on spirituality and existence in my music with intense lyricism. My intention is to lift up others through my raps and push people to look inward. I'm inspired by Artists like Homeboy Sandman, MF Doom and the late great Sean Price. Hip-Hop is more than just a tool for self expression, it is a tool for awakening and self liberation. Whether expressing deep anger or joyful bliss, my rhymes are propelled in such a way to bend minds and shift perspective, reminding us that we are all connected and never alone.
