Biography
Kat Kennedy, aka Katëmine, is a lifelong writer and raver cutting her chops in music production as a lyricist. Her love of house music began in Orlando in the early 1990s, where she was a regular at the iconic club Aahz. In college, she spent her nights bartending at the infamous Simons in Gainesville, Florida. For years, Kat curated playlists for private parties. That passion for music curation brought her to get behind the decks, and she began releasing her Party Favors studio mixes in 2025. Following her sixth installment, she landed her first public gig at SXSW in 2026. She largely focuses on melodic techno and indie dance, with early influences from Orlando house legends Chris Fortier and Kimball Collins, and evolving into her current sound, inspired by international artists like Bart Skils, Kaufmann, SNYL, and others in Berlin, Amsterdam, and throughout Europe. Her desire for continued growth landed her a mentorship with Galestian, an LA- and Berlin-based DJ and producer, who encouraged her to pursue her passion for writing lyrics. She collaborated with Dallas-based DJ and producer Frenz E on her first track “Body Work,” releasing June 2026 on Dynamic Musik. The pair are already working on their second collaboration and plan to continue building on their mutual love of creative expression and genre-bending production styles. Connect with Katëmine on Instagram, SoundCloud, and the new EDM community app RaveBae™, which launches summer 2026.
