Biography
Sortie, a co-founder/owner of SartOut Records, started his career in the early 2010s, he is one half of the Sortie twin brothers, Darren and Dane Sortie, together developed a sound that stood out on the scene, and built a respectable catalogue of music production, songs and riddims with Artists who went on to make indelible marks in Jamaican music. From building Riddims in their room to scoring the “Top Prize”, the twin producers took on the Industry with a strong determination to win. The duo took a chance on an upcoming Artist named Alkaline, and it paid off as he went on to become a Dancehall anomaly, and they have shared a strong working and personal friendship over the years. Sartout Records is currently down to one member, Darren, as Dane passed away in 2021 due to complications from Covid 19, but the label continues to thrive, working with various acts and creating music that will last for a lifetime.
