Biography
"HEATWAVE", founded 2016, is supposed to be a remake of the trends in pop & film music of the 80s. I grew up in the 80's and 90's. These decades and all of its musical developments had a great musical impact on me. In may of the founding year, the debut album "BACK FROM THE FUTURE" was released on Bandcamp. After 2 EPs and a single (now listed on all major portals and streaming services), the soundtrack for a fictional 80s film "RICK TURNER'S ROAD RAGE" was released at the end of 2017. Early 2020 i released my 3rd studio album “ECHOES OF A NEW DAWN”, available digital, on CD & in various vinyl versions. Here are some links & quotes from reviews of this album: “...We've got to have our synthwave, HEATWAVE's latest release made that very clear when it dropped today! Markus Spillner A.K.A. Rick Turner reminds us about what makes this genre of music so great.” -zoedune.com “...The segments that structure the songs feel as if each one comes on stage, does a dance, and steps down as the next one comes up to take its place...” “...It maintains some elements of the past in the creation of something new. It is a bit of an echo in a new dawn....” -THEELECTROSCAPE.com “THE MIAMI FILES”, was released during the year 2020. As an homage to the still popular TV series “Miami Vice”. “...Album of the Day: The Miami Files by Heatwave. @HeatwaveRick killed it on this release! #80s #miami #synthwave with a dark edge. ...” -THEELECTROSCAPE.com Fanlink.to/HEATWAVE
