LUNAROSA

Biography

Lunarosa is the dream-folk project of Glenna Larsen from Wales. The name is taken from the rising pink moons of Fuerteventura where most of the songs on her debut EP Neoprene Love were written. Brought up in a home environment infused with the Beach Boys, The Beatles and the Poozies, Lunarosa’s music often leans towards three-part vocal harmonies.   Having picked up violin from a young age, she was taught both classical and folk music, meaning string arrangements are a strong feature in Lunarosa’s compositions. After playing in bands for a few years (most successfully in Tigers That Talked), she picked up the ukulele, taking it on her travels and surf trips and began to write songs about her colourful experiences.   Lunarosa’s debut EP ‘Neoprene Love’ was released at the end of summer 2019 after a year of recording with friends, different engineers and bedroom producers. ‘Neoprene Love’ is the amalgamation of the personal journal entries of the different stages of a short-lived holiday romance.   Lunarosa will be gigging in 2020.
