Biography
Katty G is an emerging electronic vocalist and songwriter whose ethereal, futuristic sound has quickly captured the attention of the underground dance music scene. Born with a passion for blending human emotion with digital landscapes, she burst onto the scene in early 2025 with her debut album PLAY, a 19-track collaboration with platinum producer Trendsetter (aka Mark Holiday), known for his chart-topping cyberpunk remixes and BBC Radio 1 features. Clocking in at 48 minutes, PLAY fuses hyper house beats, industrial synths, and Katty G's haunting, layered vocals, creating immersive tracks that evoke neon-lit dystopias and introspective nights. Highlights include "Static," a pulsating anthem of glitchy euphoria that has racked up early streams on Spotify and Apple Music, and remixes nodding to classic cyberpunk tropes. Her style is distinctly cyberwave-infused electro-pop: breathy, emotive deliveries over Trendsetter's signature production—think razor-sharp basslines, retro-futuristic arpeggios, and subtle vocal chops that recall artists like Grimes or Perturbator, but with a hyper house edge for club-ready energy. Blogs like Audiohype have praised her as part of the "new wave of electronic dreamers," highlighting how her sound bridges viral TikTok aesthetics with deeper, narrative-driven electronica.
