This New Jersey native checks all the boxes: raised in poverty, violence, college dropout, homelessness - you name it. Despite the circumstances, he’s managed to make a career out of the very thing he credits to keeping him alive: music. With his troubled past behind him, he’s on a different road - searching for his “Black Boy Joy” in a time where race is always heated conversation. His sound reflects just that. After spending a night in jail in 2012 and being subsequently fired from his restaurant gig the next day, he decided to go full-time with music. Since then, he’s earned an illustrious reputation in the New York City club date scene - gigging his way up from small bars and clubs to some of the world’s most famous venues. He’s also made several National TV appearances with former a cappella band, Duwendé, and has backed artists like 50 Cent and even bonafide legends like Tony Orlando and Kenny Rogers. Sonically, you can expect his music to "blend Hip Hop, Pop and R&B-styles effortlessly" while "building a soulful atmosphere along with [his] vocal”.
