Biography
VØLVE is the musical project of Danish artist Helene Navne - a fusion of ritual, rebellion, and cinematic sound. Drawing on Norse mythology, witchcraft, and the sacred feminine, she creates Nordic ritual folk that moves between vulnerability and power, intimacy and invocation. With ethereal vocals, dark-folk textures, and neoclassical instrumentation, VØLVE transforms emotion into spellwork - crafting songs that feel both ancient and alive. Her music evokes the mystical worlds of artists like Agnes Obel, Kate Bush, and Patrick Watson, yet stands apart through its raw energy and mythic depth. The debut single Enter the Unknown introduced listeners to VØLVE’s world of feminine awakening and elemental transformation. Follow-up releases such as Les Trois Amies, Vølvens Sang / Jeg Ser, and the ritual chant Varðlokkur continue her exploration of love, loss, and liberation through haunting soundscapes, voice, and mythic intensity.
