Listen to Maybe Someday

Desk Job. Started as a passion project when I was fresh out of college in 2018 working at a boring job that wasn’t using my fancy and expensive degree at all. After a year of writing and recording demos in my bedroom I had a collection of 10 songs that would eventually become “The ’95 Sound”. I met Mike and the two Will’s (Theriot and Chiles) who are fantastic players that were excited about this music and ready to get going. This was Desk Job in full form at the absolute height of our power. This height hit a fantastic peak at the beginning of 2020. We had just played The Basement East in Nashville and were in the studio working on our first new release as a full band. Unfortunately, we know how this ends. March of 2020 meant the end of any concerts for a then unknown amount of time. Later, Will Theriot and I reconnected and began (safely) jamming together again and sharing the songs we had been individually working on during the lockdown. We recorded tracks for the “Temporary EP” that came out at the end of 2021. Around this time I was getting married and planning a move to NYC. It seemed a logical end for the little punk band that could. Alone, back in my bedroom, like it all began, I once again found myself with a little collection of songs that I was really proud of and I was ready to start pushing the rock up the hill once again. Welcome and welcome back to Desk Job.
