Shanti’s phenomenal output is a result of his youth. He played his first club in Amsterdam at the age of 13, earning the nickname "Juvenile". Since then, Shanti Matkin has shaped his early recordings alongside the first wave of trance pioneers, resulting in dozens of releases on established psytrance labels such as Spun Records, Phonokol, BNE, HOMmega, Spiral Trax, Iboga, Neurobiotic, Phantasm, Dacru, United Beats, Tip Records, Alien Records, Sink87, Proton Brazil and Dreamstate (Insomniac), as well as touring the world playing major trance events and festivals. Additionally, Shanti is also part of two other renowned electronic projects: Shanti V Deedrah, which takes a different approach than his solo project but remains focused on his psychedelic roots, and Krome Angels (w/ Deedrah & Dino Psaras), which is more techno-oriented.
