Huan 62 is a rising force in the Dominican urban movement, delivering music as raw and unfiltered as his journey. Born in Neyba, he was shaped early by his grandfather Gabino, a music professor and multi-instrumentalist whose influence built a profound foundation. Though Gabino has passed, his legacy lives on in Huan’s artistry. Growing up between Neyba and Herrera, in what he calls a “satanic” mix of street life and spotty schooling, he became an artist unafraid to bare his truth. His path led to Spain, where he joined Los Jokers—a musical family so integral he tattooed their name on his hand. Musically, Huan’s roots run deep. Inspired by hip-hop icons like Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg, he also trained in classical flute, guitar, saxophone, and piano—an often-overlooked layer behind his distinctive sound. He’s drawn to 80s samples laced with sax, a hallmark of “Pa Tripiar” and his breakout hit “Natural,” a track born from a week-long recording break and a lived experience. Its organic virality cemented his belief: if it feels right in the studio, it’s meant to be shared. While others chased dembow, Huan pioneered a trap sound rooted in authentic storytelling. With hits like “Glizzy Zaza” and “Pa Tripiar,” he sees his future still in Herrera—making millions, evolving the game, and staying true to himself.
