Starting his journey at the age of 14, Darryl (Dizz) Johnson discovered a passion for music through the eclectic tastes of his older siblings and parents. Frequent visits to raves and festivals across the UK fueled his love for electronic dance music, creating a profound connection to the scene. While he always tinkered with music production as a hobby, a shift in personal circumstances prompted him to take his passion for music more seriously, ultimately leading him to focus on the vibrant genre of Drum and Bass. In 2022, Dizz enrolled in the DnB Academy, where he participated in a mentorship course that culminated in an invitation to Basscamp. This experience allowed him to connect with a community of amazing peers and forge lifelong friendships within the genre. With several releases on labels such as Lizplay and Mathematica last year under the alias KickHabitz, he is just getting started. Described as having a hybrid sound, Dizz is on a journey to discover his unique musical identity. A recent shift in sound has led him to adopt a new alias, with hopes of breaking more barriers within the music scene.
