Alexander Kielland Krag is one of Norway’s most innovative young writers. Together with Norwegian publisher Gyldendal, Alexander has released his critically acclaimed first novel This Stays Between Us (Dette blir mellom oss in Norwegian) as an Instagram novel, Snapchat Show, a paper book and most recently as a spoken word music album. This innovative approach to publishing literature on digital platforms has gained international recognition: For the Instagram version, Alexander, and his publisher Gyldendal, received Fast Company’s annual award for World Changing Ideas in the media and entertainment category. Alexander also received the “Trollkrittet” award in 2021 for most promising new author within children/young adult literature. He was nominated for the Book Blogger Award (Bokbloggerprisen 2020) and for the Norwegian Culture Ministry’s Debutant Award for children/young adult authors in 2020. “this stays between us” captures the intricacy of growing up, first love and finding your place in life. Released as an album combining spoken word and music in collaboration with Emelie Hollow, the story is stripped down to its most essential part – that of being in love and not having your feelings reciprocated.
