About Artist
Esskay
Renowned for his lyrical breadth and depth, Cheshunt luminary Esskay has been
showcasing his intricate rhyming abilities since his teens, delving into moving subjects
including anxiety and substance abuse with a uniquely poetic approach.
With an attuned ear for spacious soundscapes which provide the perfect backdrop for
his introspective bars, the Hertfordshire MC and singer has been known to touch grime,
rap, dubstep and even 2-step garage productions since he burst onto the scene in 2009.
2015’s White Noise LP and 2018’s Essence EP – as well as innumerable radio sets and
freestyles – have led the young wordsmith to amass a cult following of intellectual
listeners, garnering support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, GRM Daily and SB.TV.
