Philia
Philia is the music project by Dan Giffin (relocated to Denver, CO), a bass/ funk artist and instrumentalist. Known for his engaging live shows both DJing and playing live instruments, Philia's sound encompasses a tasteful mix of dance-driven melodies and experimental bass. His performances create crowd engaging moments, such as real-time sampling the audience and smoothly mixing it into a drop.
In 2013, Dan moved from Ohio to NYC to study music technology, eventually becoming 1 of 350 Ableton Certified Trainers in the world. Over the years he began teaching his skills to surrounding artists, which eventually landed him opportunities in the studio and on stage with artists like Mac Miller, Tiësto, Daily Bread, Maddy O'Neal, and many others. Dan also hosts the popular Ableton Music Producer Podcast where he interviews today's leaders in music tech as well as Platinum/ Grammy-winning artists.
