James Green aka Dustin Funkman has been a significant contributor to the electronic music scene for the last two decades. As a lover of all things electronic he has been entertaining the masses. Be it in the way of Djing, or producing. He has become known for a sound that is unique and guarantees a palatable energy on any dancefloor. He started listening to electronic music in 1995, influenced by genres many genres . James began learning to beatmatch vinyl in 1999. Soon acquired his first residency under the name Scratche, at one of the Gold Club series establishments, Revolution NightClub, in Waterloo, Ontario. Becoming widely known booking events out of province and internationally. Enjoying measured success, James chose to focus his efforts on producing . This new direction gained serious and quick momentum with a multitude of attention by various record labels,including none other than Promo Records founded by none other than Robb G. Signing several releases. One of which, “Electric Dyslexic” , was remixed by none other than TJR, best known for working with Pitbull on “Don’t stop the party”. 2015 marked the official retirement of Scratche, bringing about tremendous change in sound and genres. This creative shift proved positive in the way of self discovery and the emerging of a new persona Dustin Funkman. His love of life and music has brought him this far, we can only imagine where it will take us all next.
