Biography
Julia Barrist is a rising singer-songwriter from Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, known for her powerful vocals and distinctive harmonic style. Her talent first gained recognition in 2020 when she won the Jamie Bell Songwriting Competition, a milestone that helped launch her pursuit of music on a larger stage. Since then, Julia has built a rapidly growing audience online, amassing more than 100,000 followers across platforms. She made her official debut with ballad “Gaslight” in January 2023. Shortly after, Julia earned the Outstanding Soloist award at a Southern United States regional of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). The following year, she performed Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” at the ICCA Finals on Broadway and received an Outstanding Arrangement award for her work on the piece. Following a series of viral TikToks in early 2026, Julia recently released her version of “Impossible” by Shontelle, showcasing her signature “crunchy harmonies.”
