The young Puerto Rican artist has recently collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest names including Bad Bunny, Becky G, Farruko, Piso 21, Sech, Amenazzy, and Arcángel amongst others and has rapidly become one of the most sought after artists coming from the “new” generation of the Urban music scene.

Some artists define a genre, but Lil Baby defines a generation. The GRAMMY Award-winning rapper has smashed records, made history, and impacted the course of modern hip-hop with his instantly identifiable and inimitable style. He has garnered dozens of multi platinum certifications and tens of billions of streams as arguably the biggest new rapper to emerge this decade. Following the success of his platinum full-length debut Harder Than Ever in 2018, he seized #1 on the Billboard Top 200 with 2020’s My Turn, becoming “the year’s #1 selling and #1 streaming album in the US.” At first, it cemented him as “2020’s first and only artist to go double-platinum,” but it has since gone quadruple-platinum and has logged 85 weeks in the top 10 of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart – marking the longest top-tier run in the chart’s history. He notably tied Prince and Paul McCartney for Billboard Hot 100 hits and Taylor Swift for “most weeks atop the Billboard Top 200 in 2020” with a total of 6. Out of eight nominations, he scored his first GRAMMY® Award in 2022. He teamed up with Lil Durk for The Voice of the Heroes, marking his second #1 debut on the Billboard Top 200. It’s just the beginning though. Most recently, he released “Right On” and “In A Minute” which both songs debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. This feat puts Lil Baby in rare territory, making him the youngest of only 12 artists to have ever landed 100 or more songs on the Hot 100.

In just a few short years, rapper Playboi Carti has amassed over 19B streams worldwide. Carti has been unstoppable since the release of his 2017 single “Magnolia,” as its meteoric rise garnered cosigns from Beyoncé and features on series like Atlanta. His self-titled album has accumulated nearly 7.8B streams to date after debuting at #12 on the Billboard 200 chart where it spent 63 weeks. The following year, Carti dropped his album Die Lit, debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200, with collaborations like Lil Uzi Vert on “Shoota,” “Poke It Out” with Nicki Minaj & “Love Hurts” with Travis Scott. The album has nearly 9.5B global streams to date and spent a total of 111 weeks on the Billboard 200. In April of 2020, Playboi Carti returned with track “@MEH,” and on Christmas day, he landed his first #1 album on Billboard’s 200 Chart with Whole Lotta Red which has amassed a staggering 9.4B global streams to date. Playboi Carti kicked off 2024 strong with new music & collaborations including "CARNIVAL” with Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and Rich the Kid, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Carti’s collaboration with Travis Scott on their song “FE!N” peaked at #5 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Playboi Carti has also recently featured on “I LUV IT” with Camila Cabello, “TYPE SHIT” with Future, Metro Boomin, and Travis Scott, and “Popular” with The Weeknd and Madonna. His most recent collaboration “Timeless” with The Weeknd debuted at #3 on Billboard Hot 100.

You don’t get a lot of warning for an artist like Young Thug. From his warped delivery to his radical, gender-fluid fashion sense, the Atlanta rapper (born Jeffery Lamar Williams in 1991) flies in the face of every unspoken rule for what hip-hop is. Starting with a prolific run of mixtapes in the early 2010s, Thug rose by pioneering a weird, ever-shifting flow somewhere between singing, rapping, mumbling, and squawking. But the weirdest thing about what he does is that it works. Nearly every project Thug has released—from 2016’s reggae-inflected JEFFERY to the country-ish sides of 2017’s BEAUTIFUL THUGGER GIRLS—has cracked the mainstream, laying the groundwork for a new crop of fellow eccentrics like Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti. Meanwhile, he has continued to push himself as an MC. “It seemed like a show,” Young Thug told Apple Music about making 2015’s Slime Season 2. “You gotta show up; everybody’s watchin’.” That dedication to sharpening his performances led to career-high reviews and sales for his debut 2019 studio album, So Much Fun, a sprawling, guest-stacked opus. Since then, he used his prized place at the top of the heap to experiment, blowing past genre boundaries on 2021’s Punk and commanding malleable collabs with Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Travis Scott on 2023’s BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. Rather than search for some guiding internal logic in Young Thug’s music, it’s best to just take a deep breath and embrace the surprise factor.

Ñengo Flow brings authenticity and grit to a style of music most often associated with aspiration and glamour. Though many Latin trap artists reference ‘90s gangsta rap, he is one of the few that actually embodies the existential realities of the genre, drawing from his own experiences growing up in Puerto Rico. Born in Rio Piedras, San Juan in 1981 and raised in Bayamón, Edwin Laureano Rosa Vázquez Ortiz got his first taste of the spotlight at 14 years old, performing in front of neighbors and friends in his hometown. Propelled by their overwhelming support, he soon developed a lyrical style that echoed the voice of the streets and the marginalized communities he grew up with, combined with a penchant for club-friendly rhythms that dabbled in reggae, hip-hop, and the sounds of the island. This is reflected in his Univision-backed debut Flow Callejero (2005), as well as the classic Real G 4 Life mixtape series, efforts which earned him the nickname “The Real G of Urban Music.” Ñengo Flow has since gone on to collaborate with urbano behemoths like Ozuna on 2017’s “Mamasita Mala” as well as Anuel AA on “Sur y Norte” and Bad Bunny on two memorable cuts on the latter’s critically lauded sophomore release YHLQMDLG in 2020.
