Biography
Sheka born in Jamaica in the parish of Clarendon. captivated by the sound of her family’s voice each time they sang covers of famous groups band like UB40, Backstreet boys and The Wailers. At the age of 12 her cousin Jerome start to teach her more about the DJ world, she used to write his lyrics while he freestyled and that was how she starts writing her own music lyrics. She forms part of Curacao famous reggae Band Dancehall Dreams as Sugerspice and release Mixtape titled Back on the street. In 2012, she performed at Cony Island as open act on a Konshens show. In 2013 a Movado and Sizzle show and same year Bonaire Regatta . In 2014 she met with the great Maxi Priest that told her "Your artist name should be Sheka cause its unique ". After this she started using “Sheka” as her artist name. Mr. Bianchi from MBSTUDIO work with her on her first Dancehall track Titled -New Style. She moved to The Nederland’s and 3 weeks after in 2016 she joined the lable Bigstarrmusic and released a mixtape titled Nos3. Early 2019 sheka re-enter studio working with RiddimBanger on a Caribbean track Titled Get Busy and now she is currently working with DjDom. Sheka is still persuing her dream and putting the extra work with love and dedication and looking forward for her first single album.
