In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember refusing to learn to read music. Instinctually I always felt learning by ear was ideal. Up til high school I mostly memorized everything and learned by ear. Eventually I learned to read but glad I learned how most languages are learned. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dexter Gordon, Junior Mance, At Montreux With Junior Mance (Live) Sonny Rollins, Sound of Sonny Keepnews Collection Steve Grossman, Some Shapes to Come Steve goes so hard on this record. Peak 70s east coast post bop meets fusion vibe, which hits the spot for me.
