Biography
King Labash is an internationally respected singer and songwriter whose sound bridges Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeat, Drum & Bass, and Zimdancehall. Emerging from Zimbabwe’s dancehall movement, he quickly established himself as a trailblazer, winning Best Zimdancehall Artist and Song in 2007 and later receiving the Zimdancehall Pioneer Award in 2021. His breakout singles Rasta Ndoenda Nemi and Burn (produced by KD Sound System, Netherlands) resonated globally, with Burn helping him become the first Zimdancehall artist to tour Europe in 2019. His catalogue reflects fearless experimentation across Shatta riddims, Drum & Bass, and Afro-influenced club sounds.
