Silos
On debut album APOCALIPS, LA’s Silos fuse heavy guitars, emotive vocals, and EDM into a nostalgic yet hopeful sound. Co-produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Seether) and Neil Sanderson ( Three Days Grace), the album was released on Feb. 21 via Judge & Jury Records.
“I love how a song elevates you in a huge crowd,” says frontman Ray Garrison. “Silos is a vessel to create that experience in a new way.”
Originally a solo project, Silos became a multinational quintet with Philip Nielsen ( Crazy Town), David Rehmann ( Orgy), Ramón Blanco ( grandson), and Nick Dromin. Apocalips blends future rave with dark alt-metal, influenced by David Guetta, Morten, Bring Me The Horizon, and Escape The Fate. It’s a melodic, muscular album exploring Garrison’s sobriety and heartbreak with rare honesty.
“The vocals tell the darkness, but the music lifts you out,” says Garrison, a former DJ whose trap remix of Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” has 30M+ streams.
Lead single Save Tonight reinvents the Eagle-Eye Cherry classic with crushing guitars and twinkling electronica. “IF I FALL!” (feat. Danny Case of From Ashes to New) captures life at a crossroads, while “Black Mold” (feat. Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate) confronts toxic love: All my life, I’ve left a trail behind me; Toxic love is all I’ve ever known … I’m trying to break the mold; Black mold.
Silos has teamed up with the DJ/dubstep artist HIGHSOCIETY for powerful remixes such as BL4CK_M0LD and iF_i_FaLL.
